It's time for elections.
If you're son is interested in running for an elected position or an appointed position please have him complete this form and return either via email or in person on Monday, November 4th (Election Day). Click Here For Form This year we started to learn a little more about the patrol method and work towards forming the patrol system for our boys. "Patrols are much more than a convenient way to divide a large group of Scouts into smaller, more manageable groups. Patrols are the single unique feature of Scouting and the indispensable method for achieving the aims of Scouting." In each troop we have a Senior Patrol Leader who is elected and not a part of any patrol. The SPL is the head of the troop. All other positions at the troop level under the SPL are appointed by the elected SPL. At the patrol level the Patrol Leader is an elected position and all other positions under the PL are appointed by the PL. All elections and appointments are under the guidance and consult of the Scoutmaster. Some of the other positions that are available for appointment are: Preview of class b shirtsThis is the class B shirt we are interested in having the boys wear for events where we require Class B. At many functions we see other troops with Class B shirts that match and it would be nice to have our boys do the same thing. So, we will be taking orders of the Class B shirts. The more we order the lower the cost will be for everyone. The front of the shirt will have our troop name and town on it over the left pocket. On the back will be this cool design with the Fleur de Lis made up of the wards from the Scout Law. It might be worth getting two of the shirts in two different sizes so you will have them for a few years. At the next meeting we will take orders from the boys. Once we have a final number we will email out the prices so you can send in a check at the following meeting. Our website wasn't that old, but it was time to update the website with a new design that is mobile friendly.
We know many parents and scouts have smart phones and our previous website was not so easy on the eyes when viewed through a smartphone. Not anymore. We hope you enjoy the new layout and check back often for calendar updates.
